Chie celebrated a life milestone with a boudoir photoshoot
Are you trying to find an excuse to book a boudoir photoshoot? “My partner has been asking for it. I would love to gift it to my partner” Don’t! Because you don’t need one, most of the clients who come to me book a boudoir photoshoot because they want to celebrate who they are at this point in their lives.
Sometimes they have lost themselves at whatever hardship life has been throwing at them. They want to reconnect with their inner self and remember who they are. It was no exception for Chie.
How we planned the session
Chie had a clear idea of what she wanted from her boudoir photo session. The Pinterest board she shared with me was inspiring and helped get a great vision for her photoshoot. I always see every boudoir photo shoot as a collaboration, and the more effort you put into it, the greater the outcome. So imagine me, your photographer, as a translator into the reality of the vision you have in mind. Then, of course, I’m always there to help you unfold it and bring it to life if you’re stuck for ideas.
How we started the boudoir photo session
When Chie arrived in the studio, we had a little chat about how the session would unfold—discussing the outfits and which backdrops I would be using for each of the scenes we had planned. Chie then had a pampering session with the wonderful Siew, hairstylist and makeup artist. Siew helped Chie look at her best, creating the perfect look for her.
How Chie managed to ease into the boudoir photoshoot
In her own words, Chie felt quite nervous at the beginning of the shoot. Who wouldn’t? I freeze each time my husband holds his camera in front of me. Having a camera pointed at you is not something we are born with, and we tend to become over conscious being photographed. So how did we put her at ease? Chie told me that she needed to be talked to constantly to forget that she was in front of a camera. Which I did; I’m always there to guide and coach you in front of the camera and make the experience super enjoyable for you. The more she saw the outcome, the more confident she got in front of the camera.
Thank you for giving me my mojo back
Yes! These are the words I want to hear you say at the end of your boudoir photoshoot. My mission is to help you reconnect with who you are and get your mojo back. A boudoir photoshoot is an incredible experience for me, too. It’s wonderful to see you becoming more confident and walking out of a boudoir photo session with a boosted mojo and bags of confidence.
“The whole experience gave me the boost I needed after such a disheartening year. Definitely one of the best things I’ve done for myself.”
